Under our comprehensive intervention on UN-SDG 2: Zero Hunger and UN-SDG 3: Good Health and Well Being, the foundation has designed the program of Poshan Vatika to make the high value nutrient food accessible to the children and the women of the underserved families to save them from malnutrition, hunger and related ailments.
ARTH Poshan Vatika has emerged from the principle of low-cost organic and sustainable gardening of high nutrient value vegetables in an Agri field or a small area at the backyard of a household’s home. This sustainable garden is envisioned to ensure adequate nutrition supply for a family even in the remotest part of the country, as well as serve as a means of side income for the household.
The mission of this initiative is to ensure that every underserviced family is able to meet their minimum nutrient requirements in an effective, self-reliant and sustainable manner.
This program’s main objective is to positively impact the household’s health and wellbeing, and provide them with a source of side income to subsequently make the financial and economic capabilities of the household better.
- Build healthy food environment for all through community participation.
- Empower families to access nutrition in sustainable manner.
- Providing supportive essentials like Nutrition Education, WASH, Health & Micro-insurance.
- Provide a platform to generate side income.
